Apply to be a MUGSS Mentee
Please read all the information below before applying! We are often very full and at limited capacity, so it’s important to ensure our mentors are matched with mentees ready to go through the graduate application process. If you’re unsure if you’re eligible or just have questions about graduate school, you can contact one of the co-directors or email mugss.colostate@gmail.com! Check out our resources too to see if you can answer any of your questions there!
Process for Becoming a Mentee
- Complete the Mentee application (link below)
- MUGSS Directors/E-Board members will email you and set up a 15-20 minute interview to explain what MUGSS is, ask you a variety of questions, and to make sure what you’re is looking for can be provided by MUGSS
- Directors will match the student with a mentor based on the needs and goals of the student
- Once the director has found a match, they will email the mentee with the mentor CC’d and e-introduce them. This email instructs the mentee to fill out the MUGSS competency sheet and to contact the mentor to set up their first meeting
- After this email is sent, it is up to the mentee to contact the mentor and stay in touch
